The website

A site built around how people search for tree work

Nobody types tree service into Google at nine at night. They type the limb that came through the porch roof, the beetle killing the ash out front, the lot that has to be cleared before the build starts. The site is laid out the way those searches actually arrive, and the phone, the emergency line and a quote are all reachable before anyone scrolls.

The live Central Kentucky Tree Service site.
What changed
  • 01 A page for emergency tree service, because that search happens at night and will not wait until morning
  • 02 A page for land clearing in Lexington, with the service and the town together in the title
  • 03 A page for the emerald ash borer, which is what a homeowner types when a tree is dying and he does not know why
  • 04 Where we serve promoted into the navigation instead of buried in a footer
  • 05 Three ways to make contact above the fold: the phone, the emergency line and a quote
  • 06 Serving central Kentucky since 2003 carried in the first line of the page

The results

Twenty days of spend. All of it, and only it.

This covers one window in June, not the whole engagement. Every figure below is read straight off the account it came from, and where the account cannot answer yet, it says so.

Why there is no cost per lead here yet

Google reports 42 conversions over this spend. Our own records for the same month show 4 leads: three forms and one text. Those two cannot both be right, and until they agree we are not going to print a cost per lead, because the honest answer is somewhere between $63 and $663 and we will not pick the flattering end of that. Call and form tracking goes on the account next, and this figure arrives with it.

Spend and clicks are from the Google Ads account. Lead counts are from our own tracking sheet, June 2026. A lead is a form completed or a text received. Local Services Ads figures are not included in this window.
The work

Three channels, run as one account.

A site, the ads that sit above the map, and the search work underneath both. Point at one to see what it covers.

Everything else points at the site

Built for one job: get a homeowner with a tree down to the phone
The number reachable with a thumb on every screen, not buried in a menu
Service and town pages that give search something to rank
They own the site and the domain, not us
This section covers what we run. Results are reported separately, from the ad accounts and from tracked calls and forms.
Search

Built to be found the way tree work is searched

A tree company gets found three different ways and they are nothing like each other: the planned job somebody has been putting off, the pest with a name the homeowner already knows, and the limb on the roof at nine at night. One page cannot answer all three, so the site does not try.

01 The pages A page for each way the work is actually searched, not one page listing services. Emergency tree service, land clearing, the emerald ash borer, and the pruning and removal work itself, each with somewhere of its own to rank.
02 The towns Where we serve sits in the navigation rather than in a footer, so Versailles, Lexington, Georgetown and Nicholasville each have a place to be found instead of one page trying to cover the region and ranking for none of it.
03 The emergency The search that cannot wait gets its own route: an emergency line in the bar at the top of every page, above everything else, reachable before anyone has scrolled or read a word.

Why this works

It holds up because the three pull together

A tree company can buy clicks, or a website, or a place above the map. What moves the number is those three agreeing with each other, and agreeing with the crew that pulls into the driveway.

Nothing in this section claims a result. The results are above, with the account each figure came from and the one we are not printing yet.
